Billy Joe Saunders appeared before Stewards of the Board on Wednesday, 22nd July 2020 due to recent comments made on Social Media.
Following consideration of Mr. Saunders explanation, the Stewards found Mr. Saunders guilty of misconduct and have fined him £15,000.00p to be donated to charities.
The suspension of his boxer’s licence has been lifted.

It is with great sadness that the British Boxing Board of Control has learnt of the passing of former Chairman Mr. Leonard “Nipper” Read.
Nipper was a wonderful servant to the British Boxing Board of Control and the Sport of Boxing.
Our condolences to Nipper’s family at this time.

1) The Complaint by Boxer Josh Taylor against Manager Barry McGuigan MBE is dismissed.
2) The Complaint by Manager Barry McGuigan MBE against Boxer Josh Taylor is upheld.
The Stewards and Head Office of the British Boxing Board of Control are saddened to hear of the passing of former Board Steward and Midlands Area Chairman Dave Roden.
Dave, after an accomplished professional boxing, managerial and promotional career, joined the Midlands Area Council and subsequently became an Administrative Steward of the Board, working extremely hard for the benefit of all those associated with the Sport.
Our thoughts and sympathy goes to Dave’s wife Pat and daughter Justine.
