"FLY" Gloves

“FLY” Gloves are an approved manufacturer of the BBBofC and have been for many years now. The issues raised from the gloves used in Russia have been discussed with the manufacturer at length, and the BBBofC are satisfied with their feedback. We are also advised that the BBBofC is the only organisation who have contacted the manufacturer to discuss the matter at the present time. The Board are satisfied that the gloves in question were not any of the three styles of “FLY” Glove currently approved by the BBBofC (Please see bbbofc.com), but rather a different style of glove entirely. Whilst this is commonplace with glove manufacturers throughout the sport, it in no way compromises the approval and use of the three styles of competition glove currently approved for use under the jurisdiction of the BBBofC.

Whilst we acknowledge that there can be isolated cases of imperfections in any manufacturing process, the BBBofC have had no such issue in relation to "FLY".

As and when the BBBofC do have an issue with any glove manufacturer, the BBBofC consider the matter on its individual merits. In the past the BBBofC have withdrawn glove manufacturers, but only following said consideration.

At this time the BBBofC are satisfied that "FLY" gloves remain an approved manufacturer in the UK, with all gloves subject to assessment at anytime, as is the case with all other approved manufacturers. As such, “FLY” gloves approved by the BBBofC remain available to all BBBofC Promoters for use in any, and all contests taking place under the BBBofC jurisdiction regardless of Championships.
