The British Boxing Board of Control confirms that Mr. Fury’s boxer’s licence is suspended pending further investigation into anti-doping and medical issues.

The British Boxing Board of Control are in the process of gathering information from all relevant parties in relation to the contest which took place on the 29th September 2016 and will advise of further action by the Stewards of the Board at a later date.

The British Boxing Board of Control sends their condolences to the family of Mike Towell.

The thoughts of all those involved in Boxing in Great Britain are with them at this difficult time.

Following the announcement that AIBA are to permit professional boxers to compete in future Olympic Games, the British Boxing Board of Control confirm their objection to such a proposal.

It is the belief of the British Boxing Board of Control that such a move is against the spirit of the Olympics, disrespectful to the many GB Amateur boxers who, throughout the Olympic cycle compete around the world in qualifying tournaments and ultimately dangerous.

It is the hope of the British Boxing Board of Control and many within the professional Sport in Great Britain and throughout the world that AIBA reconsider such a move that is not beneficial to the Sport as a whole.

It is with great sadness that the British Boxing Board of Control reports the passing of former Chairman and President Lord Brooks.

Lord Brooks' contributions to Boxing in Great Britain were immense and his contribution to the Sport in Great Britain have enabled the British Boxing Board of Control to maintain its position as one of the leading Boxing Commissions in the world.

Jack will be sadly missed by those who knew him and the Sport has lost one of its great characters.
