Being over the age of eighteen, a Boxer partakes in professional Boxing contests under the jurisdiction of the Board.
A Referee is appointed by the Board and is the sole arbitrator of all professional boxing contests under the jurisdiction of the Board.
A Manager acts as representative for a boxer with whom he/she has a Boxer/Manager contract. A Manager’s licence can only be applied for by an individual who has held a licence in another category for three consecutive years in the last ten.
A Master of Ceremonies is employed by the Promoter to make announcements both pre and post each contest in the ring.
A Matchmaker liaises with Promoters, Managers, other Matchmakers and the Board to arrange professional Boxing contests.
A Promoter runs professional Boxing tournaments under the jurisdiction of the Board.
A Ringmaster/Whip is employed by the Promoter and their duties are determined by the Promoter.
A Second may work in a Boxer’s corner during a contest.
A Timekeeper is appointed by the Board to oversee the correct duration at all contests, including any relevant counts.
A Trainer/second may train a Boxer in the gym and also act as a Second during a contest.
